Falafel

Falafel is a popular Middle Eastern fast food made of a mixture of chickpeas, fresh herbs, and spices that are formed into small patties or balls. They are naturally vegan/vegetarian and make a great appetizer when paired with hummus for dipping. So enjoy each bite of delicious falafel dipped into hummus and satisfy your taste buds.

Ingredients:
For Hummus
400g chickpea (soaked and boiled)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 lemon juice
3 garlic gloves
2 tbsp tahini
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp chili powder
For Falafel
400
g chickpeas (overnight soaked)
2 onions
5 garlic gloves
Bunch of parsley and coriander
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/8 or 2tbsp cup water
Vegetable oil for deep frying
Instructions:
1. Blend together boiled and strained chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic, salt and lemon juice.
2. Place the hummus in a bowl and pour some fine-quality olive oil and place it in the refrigerator for an hour.
3. Add chickpeas, parsley, coriander, chopped onions, garlic, cumin powder, salt and baking soda and grind it together. Mix the mixture properly.
4. Heat oil on a medium flame and shape the mixture into Patties and balls; then fry them in the oil. Assemble it together and the Falafel and Hummus is ready to be served.
