These caterer-style appetizers are so easy to make. Simple yet sophisticated, they’ll be the perfect starters.
I have to say, these are quite filling. After eating three mini sandwiches, I had to skip the lunch.
Ingredients:
- 1 sheet puff pastry (I used my homemade)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tsp sesame seeds,
- 1 pack of smoked Salmon
- 1 large cucumber, slices
- 1 cup cream cheese
Instructions:
- Spread out the puff pastry and make cut-outs with a small cookie cutter. Brush with the beaten egg, sprinkle sesame seeds and bake the puff pastry shells for about 20-25 minutes at 200°C until puffed and golden. Allow to cool for a couple of minutes then cut to make the sandwiches halves.
- In the meantime, slice the smoked salmon and cucumber, put a dollop of cream cheese filling.
- Spread a spoonful of cream over a sliced cucumber. Place on a shell half. Top with a salmon, then the top puffed shell.
Enjoy!
